NUR 213 - Complex Health Concepts This course is designed to assimilate the concepts within the three domains of the individual, healthcare, and nursing. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of fluid/electrolytes, metabolism, perfusion, mobility, stress/coping, violence, health-wellness-illness, professional behaviors, caring interventions, managing care, healthcare systems, and quality improvement. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to provide quality, individualized, entry level nursing care. Credit Hours: 10 Class Contact Hours: 4 Lab Contact Hours: 3 Clinical Contact Hours: 15 Prerequisite(s): Take NUR 111 and Admission into BCCC Associate Degree Nursing Program.
